NON-GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS
After proclaiming independence Ukraine started to build a democratic society. The citizens of our country realized their role and possibilities in the solution of social and economic problems, regional and local development.
This gave a new impact to develop NGOs and movements.
There are about 300 of NGOs in Chernivtsi that cover all spheres of community life. Among them:

- Youth problems - 26;

- Public relations - 11;
- Ecological organizations - 11;
- Women organizations - 6;
- Culture - 24;

plans and fulfills a variety of social projects. Among them "Social Station" (charity meals for elderly and handicapped people, supply of foodstuffs and medications), "Pure Water" Program in cooperation with the private enterprise AQUA VITA (free drinking water supply for 3 hospitals).

attracts the community members for ecological problems fulfillment and environment protection in the region. The most famous project ZELENA TOLOKA.

Regional Branch of the Ukrainian Children Foundation
