Description of Chernivtsi Coat of Arms

City coat of arms consists of heraldic shield with the open gate with seven edges, eight (four in each row) stones above them. In the middle of the open gate there is a state emblem of Ukraine – the trident. Under the gate there are two crossed laurel branches tied with ribbons. The coat of arms is framed with bronze ornament, accomplished with crown with five noticeable ledges. It is equally presupposed to use small coat of arms – the coat of arms without the ornament and the crown.

Chernivtsi coat of arms is performed in two variants: coloured and white and black.

Coloured version contains: heraldic shield of red colour, open gate, eight stones over it and the crown accomplished with ornament – golden (yellow), the ribbon tying the branches – yellow and blue, ornament – bronze.

Black and white version presupposes with following indications of colours: red colour – vertical stripes, silver (white) – blank filed, gold, bronze (yellow) – points on the white field, blue – horizontal stripes.
