Festival of Restaurants’ Music Bands named after N.Yaremchuk
The 12-th Festival of Restaurants’ music bands took place in Chernivtsi. It was dedicated to the 57-th anniversary of Nazariy Yaeremchuk, the Bukovynian singer, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Laureate of T.Shevchenko National Prize.
The festival was initiated by the musical community of the city and regional charity foundation named after N.Yaremchuk with the support of City Council a year after the untimely death of the singer. Its main purpose is the honour of memory and respect to the talented singer, as well as enrichment of repertoire of restaurants’ music bands with Ukrainian variety songs. The festival is gaining popularity with every year, and more and more bands and individual singers wish to participate in it.
The festival participants were awarded by diplomas and presents. The presents were given by Chernivtsi City Council, regional office of All-Ukrainian Musical Union, Regional State Philharmonic Society and regional charity foundation named after N.Yaremchuk.
